Say No to Plastic Straws

An estimated 71% of seabirds and 30% of turtles have been found with plastics in their stomachs. When they ingest plastic, marine life has a 50% mortality rate. By asking for no straw when placing a drink order, I will keep 1 plastic straw(s) of out of the ocean each day.

  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Waterwise Beautification Mulch the Base of Trees and Plants
Did you know that our quality of life on earth is tied to a thin layer of topsoil? Natural mulch from plant debris plays a critical role in conserving moisture, preventing erosion, storing groundwater, and helping return nutrients to the soil.

Laid mulch with all my new plantings including a juniper bush that sits on a mound of earth that constantly erodes onto my driveway. By planting and mulching the earth that easily erodes, I hope to reduce the erosion taking place.
