  • Reflection Question
Waterwise Community Hazardous Waste Collection Drive
Common trash from consumer goods makes up the majority of what eventually becomes marine debris, polluting our waterways and oceans. What types of household items could you reduce to limit your impact?

We have a lot of food delivery happening during the pandemic, and most of it is delivered in cheap Styrofoam containers that are thrown out, not recycled. I spoke with the local food delivery service (for all local restaurants) and they are willing to partner with folx to bring more environmentally friendly to-go boxes to our local restaurants. Now... finding the time to do it...

How do you feel about your community when you see lots of litter? How does litter find its way downstream?

I am really disappointed when I see litter. I notice that most of it comes from trucks and dumpsters and people putting trash cans by the street too early. But I saw someone throw trash out of the car the other day. We can do better.
