Instead of spending hundreds of dollars on a plumbing project that would have corrected the water waste issue I decided to do some experiments with the existing infrastructure. During the Hurricane rain that hit southern California in September I captured over 110 gallons of rain water that I am using to water my bushes, trees and yard.

I am on it! I taught my summer school students the importance of recycling and reusing waste. We also discussed the importance of planting trees to prevent erosion.

I am on it. Was able to teach my students about recycling and reusing their waste.

Will address my water conservation challenge at a future date. Other renovations in the house are proceeding.

It's been going well. I've reduced my water usage. I'm not watering the lawn as frequently.
